Our Wedding Nightmare
By:

We thought it was bad when our hall called six months before the
wedding and cancelled because they had gone bankrupt. We had to
order new reception cards and find another hall and caterer.
The bridal salon kept messing up my dress from the time they ordered
it through the whole
alterations process. But when three days before my wedding came
"the blackout of 2003" I couldn't believe our luck. My
dress was locked in the salon, my father and brothers tuxes were
still in the store and it looked like we were going to lose our
food and flowers. My hairdresser left town because the power wasn't
supposed to be back until Sunday at the earliest.
I fell and hurt my foot on Friday before the rehearsal. We had
to put together a last minute rehearsal dinner at my parents house
because the restaurant wasn't open. My husband and I seemed to be
the only ones to remain completely calm the entire time. I don't
think I could have imagined a more stressful situation if I tried.
It stormed on our wedding day. But when all is said and done, we
are married, because we weren't going to let a little thing like
power stand in our way!
